Phil Hill invents his own Victory Lane

1961 Formula One world champion Phil Hill has unveiled plans for a first-of-its-kind race-track park, which will be exclusively available to residents of the park's properties. Victory Lane is an exclusive housing development, located in the rural countryside near Savannah, Georgia that is the only one in the world that offers a state of the art 4.5 mile race track available for unlimited use only for its 120 private lot holders.

The Phil Hill Motor Sports Complex was designed by American F1 champion Phil Hill and Australian track designer Bob Barnard, who played a part in the recent rework of Daytona International Speedway. Designed to FIA Standards, the circuit incorporates 16 configurations made up of two tracks - one technical (2 miles) the other more open and flowing (2.5 miles). In addition, the track's mile-long straight doubles as an FAA-approved aircraft runway, capable of accommodating large private jets. 

"Our team has created what I believe to be the ultimate lifestyle development for motor sports enthusiasts and their families," said Phil Hill. "Victory Lane is building a track that will offer an enduring challenge to any driver who can explore the limits with a high degree of safety built in."

The layout of the track includes 10 to 12 foot undulations and is intending to be the safest in the world because it features all-grass graded runoff areas, free of walls and gravel traps. The track is designed to accommodate vintage or roadster cars and residents can even purchase a separate hanger to store their car at the track.

Additionally, Victory Lane hosts a collection of amenities, including a FAA-approved airport, a signature 18-hole golf course, numerous fishing and recreational lakes, a lakeside clubhouse with a fully staffed restaurant, spa and fitness facility and a 1,600-acre nature preserve with equestrian facilities. The entire community is surrounded by a 10-foot tall fence and is protected by gated access, professional security staff and offers a concierge. Prices for home lots start at $675,000.
