Ferrari mechanic taken to medical centre

A Ferrari mechanic was taken to the Singapore circuit medical centre after an incident during Felipe Massa's first pit stop resulted in the Brazilian driving off with the fuel hose still connected to his car, and dragging a mechanic to the ground.

"The nozzle remained stuck in the car and when Felipe started he brought the nozzle with him and the mechanic was hit and injured," said Ferrari spokesman Luca Colajanni. "The most important thing is the guy is OK and was taken to the medical centre to see if he has any injuries."

Ferrari will b under intense scrutiny after the race whether it's pit stop system is safe to continue being used. Massa was later given a drive-through penalty for unsafe release from his stop.
